Pacific Youth Empowerment for Success (PacYES!)

Big Island youth are invited to participate in the PacYES! conference, formerly known as Pacific Islander Youth Empowerment Day (PIYED) on the UH Hilo campus. Co-sponsored by Micronesians United – Big Island (MU-BI) , DOE – Hilo Waiakea Area Complex, County of Hawai’i, Ka Lama Ku Student Leadership Program, Hawai’i Community College, UH Hilo, and other major sponsors and partners, PacYES! aims to motivate, inspire, and inform high school students of Pacific Island ethnicities about career opportunities, college readiness, and community readiness.

The conference is planned and implemented by a Planning Committee comprising of college students, community leaders, university officials, and others.
